Oregon Rural Congress Newsletter (September 2008)

This Oregon Coastal Notes Newsletter covers the first annual meeting of the Oregon Rural Congress (ORC) held on August 21-22, 2008 in Cascade Locks, Oregon.

Four issue areas (health and human services, natural resources, economic development, and telecommunications) were originally identified for discussion at the meeeting, and added public finance and transportation as two important additional issue areas for Rural Oregon at the meeting.

By the end of the two-day meeting, approximately 350 problems and solutions were identified and recorded.
