Mission statement

OCZMA serves local elected officials on the Oregon Coast.  OCZMA is a clearinghouse of objective information on issues relating to the Oregon Coast—this information is then shared with the state and federal government.  OCZMA conducts studies on the Oregon Coast's economy and carries out applied research to improve the standard of living in the region.  Through our extensive network of local government officials and many other partners, OCZMA gives voice to the concerns and needs of coastal residents.

 

Tourism

The Oregon Coast is a great place to visit. Large stretches of the Oregon Coast are undeveloped and uncrowded. So, when you come to the Oregon Coast, it’s like stepping back in time.

On this web site, we’ve provided some observations about visiting the Oregon Coast. These are meant to be travel tips from a local perspective. We also show some beautiful scenes from the Oregon Coast.

For visitor information, contact the Oregon Coast Visitor’s Association (OCVA) web site located at http:///www.visittheoregoncoast.com. Within that web site, you will find a link to Travel Oregon, the web site of the Oregon Tourism Commission. This site provides a list of the Coastal Chambers of Commerce on the Oregon Coast. And, if you have questions about visiting the Oregon Coast and a specific area, the Coastal Chambers of Commerce are good information sources for things to do in each particular area. They were formed to serve your travel needs.

Also on the Oregon Tourism Commission web site is an information request form for a visitor to complete to request a copy of the Oregon Coast Magazine Mile-by-Mile Guide for things to do and see on the Oregon Coast. Enjoy.
